Product Name Aeron® 10 mg Tablet Therapeutic Group Antiasthmatic Active Ingredient Monteleukast Presentation Aeron® 4 flash Tablet: Each tablet contains Montelukast Sodium INN equivalent to Montelukast 4 mg. Aeron® 10 Tablet: Each tablet contains Montelukast Sodium INN equivalent to Montelukast 10 mg. Indication Montelukast is indicated for the prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma in adults and pediatric patients 2 years of age and older. Dosage and Administration Adults (15 years of age or over): 10 mg daily to be taken in the evening. Children (6-14 years of age): 5 mg daily to be taken in the evening. Children (2-5 years of age): 4mg daily to be taken in the evening. Safety and effectiveness of Montelukast in pediatric patients younger than two years of age have not been established Contraindications Montelukast is contraindicated to patients with hypersensitivity to any component of this product.
